The NExSS Science Communications Working Group is a volunteer-led group in charge of the science communication work of NExSS. They are responsible for the monthly Newsletters, the science nuggets about recent NExSS research, the social media pages, and even the content and structure of the NExSS website!
SCWG wants to highlight your NExSS-related successes, discoveries, and accolades, so feel free to tag us on social media (Twitter: @nexssinfo). We would also love to include your perspectives and artistic works related to NExSS and exoplanets, or any aspect of science that speaks to you. If you’d like to contribute something to NExSS’ science communications, please let us know by email via the SCWG lead, Jessica Noviello.
We on SCWG believe that communicating our research and engaging others is a critical part of science. We are currently looking for people who want to gain experience writing about NExSS-related topics (exoplanets, heliophysics, astrobiology, geology, and planetary science) to both scientific and non-scientific audiences. All skill levels and backgrounds are welcomed. We are a collaborative, supportive group who constantly learns from each other. The SCWG meets once a month and requires a few hours of work per month, depending on a member’s role. Come join our team!
Below is the current issue of the NExSS Newsletter, which is published 10 times a year and reports on the latest in NExSS and Exoplanetary news! You can find past issues of the NExSS Newsletter at this link.
